4 HAIR BUTTERS YOU DO NOT KNOW OF

We have all heard of shea butter, Cocoa butter,Mango butter, Avocado butter and some other popular butters, but here are 3 butters you have heard nothing of.

Murumuru butter is the white to yellowish fat obtained from the seeds of the murumuru palm tree. It's loaded with vitamins and has a high content of deeply moisturising oleic acid. The oil from the seeds is traditionally used to soften and protect hair. The murumuru palm trees grow in Brazil and around the Amazon and are a dominant tree in this region.

Tucuma  butter  is from the same family of the Murumuru palm, the butters have similar properties. Both butters are known for their vegetable silicon properties, forming a transparent protective film on skin, without clogging pores. Its fatty acid content increases moisture levels and softness and adds shine to the strands. High amount of vitamin A also contribute to a healthy, supple, oil producing scalp for hair growth and length retention. Tucuma butter is an excellent choice for damaged hair in need of restructuring and stabilizing.

Cupuacu butter promotes smoothness and softness to the hair and skin increasing the natural moisture and elasticity. The butter has proven to be beneficial for brittle, dry hair due to it's long lasting hydration properties to replenish moisture while promoting a healthy shine. Cupuacu is considered hydrophyllic (water loving) with a high capacity to retain water and prevent moisture loss.
