NYSC DIARIES : DAY 2 - END

DAY 2
I woke up 3:00am with a new respeck for lagosians trapped in this hustle called life.  After bathing and trying to put make up on *I gave up after the third day* we went to the meditation ground to learn the NYSC Anthem from there we went straight to continue registration. I finished my registration around 11;06am except for writing my name in the Nysc book of life. One of the most Intriguing people of camp for me are the Hausa ladies,most of them are slim with Gold in their teeth or nose and their soft voices.

UPDATE ON PRICES IN MAAMI MARKET
  • 35CL of coke is  ₦100
  • A plate of rice with tomato paste stew is  ₦300
  • Charging is  ₦50 till your phone is full
  • Plastic bottle of coke is  ₦150
  • Printout is  ₦500 per copy

I wore mufti to continue my registration and it is advisable if you are not through with your registration  cause the soldiers will keep chasing you for parade if they see you wearing white and white *they will assume that you are through with registration and you have been given kit*. When they finally give you khaki,it will be very big,you can do trade by barter and get something similar to your size or you can take it to Maami market and adjust for  1000- 1500 *Some guys will be hovering about telling you to come and adjust and they will bring your kit back to you, do not give them,cause they will only go to maami to give the tailors and bring it back to you,go to the tailors directly.
Oh and Nigerians are still fascinated by foreign students. You need to see them fawning over one,it is pathetic.

DAY 3
TOO TIRED TO WRITE

DAY 4
I ate my first camp meal today and TBH it was beter than what they sell at maami for 300. My platoon moral is too low for my liking.

DAY 5
We are starting inter-platoon games soon and the 2 major sports here is volleyball for girls and football for boys.My advice to you is to buy/bring your own ball when you are coming,they sell these balls very expensive here.We have started practicing for out passing out of camp parade.Sunday is a free day,you can wear your mufti till 12:00 noon and it is not compulsory to go to church or mosque.

Passport used till date
* 1 for meal ticket
* 2 for platoon file
* 1 for NYSC performance report
* 2 to open bank account
Just make sure you hold up to 10 passport,cause you will be needing 2 after camp. 24 passport is too much.

*The remaining days were just routine
